Archdiocese Of Kaduna And CAN Call For Prayer And Fasting For Peaceful And Credible Election

The Archdiocese of Kaduna Nigeria has called on all Nigerians to pray for peaceful and credible 2019 election. In a letter signed by the Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Rev. Matthew Manoso Ndagoso. He wrote

Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the holy spirit.

Ahead of the 2019 national election starting next Saturday February, 16, 2019 the catholic Bishop  conference of Nigeria (CBCN)has called on all Catholics and indeed all people of goodwill to "turn to God in prayer for our nations" and directed all Catholics to fast and pray (especially the holy rosary )for  three days: 13-15 February 2019.

Consequently i herewith direct all pastors to ensure that this directive is carried out through out the archdiocese of Kaduna. Recitation of the holy rosary in churches, zones, small Christians communities, families, convent, etc with rosary procession where possible are highly encourage.

Similarly, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter has called for prayers and fasting for the same reason. The prayers and fasting will be rounded up on Sunday February 10 at Alheri Baptist church near television Garage by 2pm I encourage those in the metropolis to endeavor to attend the ecumenical prayers.
